It was a &#8220;Page&#8221; link &#8211; along with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/georgiawasp.com\/?page_id=2\">ABOUT THAT \u201cWASP\u201d NAME<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/georgiawasp.com\/?page_id=1045\">ABOUT THE BLOG<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; at the top of the main page. This was\u00a0<\/em><em>shortly after I published &#8220;The Mysterious Death of Ashley Wilkes,&#8221; discussed below.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><em>Again, that was in <strong>October 2015<\/strong>, which gives you an idea how long it&#8217;s been since I&#8217;ve published a book.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"entry-header\"><em>But then in November 2020 I published a <strong>new<\/strong> book, described in the post &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/georgiawasp.com\/?p=9836\">On &#8216;(Some of) My Adventures in Old Age<\/a>.'&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><em>Which brings up at least one note: The\u00a0<a class=\"find\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pen_name\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"f:url\">nom de plume<\/a>\u00a0I used for the 2015 Ashley Wilkes book was &#8220;T.D. Scribe.&#8221; (Short for &#8220;The DOR Scribe.&#8221;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"entry-header\"><em>Since then I&#8217;ve been using a new pen name, &#8220;James B. Ford.&#8221; And for the record, I&#8217;ll be <strong>re<\/strong>-publishing &#8220;Mysterious Death&#8221; and some other books under that fake name under the newer &#8220;James B. Ford&#8221; to locate the blurb on &#8220;Adventures in Old Age.&#8221; Meanwhile here&#8217;s the original 2015 &#8220;For a book version:&#8221;]<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* \u00a0 * \u00a0 * \u00a0 *<\/p>\n<p>[From October 2015:] I just published a collection of posts from this blog. \u00a0(As noted in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/georgiawasp.com\/?p=1601\">Introduction to \u201cAshley Wilkes<\/a>.\u201d) The\u00a0<strong><em>title<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of the book came from a post I did back on September 1. \u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/georgiawasp.com\/?p=1348\" rel=\"bookmark\">The \u201cstrange\u201d death of Ashley Wilkes<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and other tales from the Georgia Wasp.)<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>cover<\/em>\u00a0features the poster above left, at the top of the page. The poster came from the movie\u00a0<strong><em>Spitfire<\/em><\/strong>, originally titled\u00a0<em><a class=\"find\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_First_of_the_Few\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"f:url\">The First of the Few<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in Britain. The film was released in Britain on September 12, 1942. Less than nine months later \u2013 \u201c<a class=\"find\" href=\"http:\/\/legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com\/on+or+about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"f:url\">on or about<\/a>\u201d\u00a0June 1, 1943 \u2013 Lesley Howard\u2019s airliner was shot down by eight\u00a0<i><a title=\"Luftwaffe\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Luftwaffe\">Luftwaffe<\/a><\/i><a title=\"Junkers Ju 88\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Junkers_Ju_88\">Junkers Ju 88C6<\/a>\u00a0fighters over the\u00a0<a class=\"find\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bay_of_Biscay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"f:url\">Bay of Biscay<\/a>. It may have been an accident. \u00a0The Germans may have been\u00a0<em>really<\/em>\u00a0after Winston Churchill.
